Who is that mystery man at the end? The one without sleeves? Is that a new sidekick, another Mr. America, or is it Mr. America in a new costume? I honestly don’t know. I do get the gist of this story – after all it follows the comic I ripped off closely enough that it’s entirely decipherable if you know the original — but I find my execution to be a bit more jumbled than my previous issue’s effort. Anyhow, isn’t it shocking to see an 8 or 9 year old draw a guy strung up, shot, and tortured, even if he is wearing a marvelously patriotic costume? These days I’d be shipped off to school psychologist and the panel where Mr. America accepted his responsibility and stepped up the plate would probably not be taken into account. Or maybe the shrink would be an old hippie and really dig this!
