At last, the legend begins!
This is my thinly disguised, um, “variation” of Captain Marvel. Shazam Captain Marvel. The real tip-off is the magic word “Mazahs” — what a strange thing to utter! How did I come up with such an unusual word?
I am proud that I cut to the chase and get rid of all that mystery nonsense they tossed in the beginning of Captain Marvel’s origin. Just say the word, get the crook, and end with the never-again-used catch phrase, “Now I go tell the police.”
Captain Fantastic, as it turns out, has figured in heavily with my imagination over the years, popping up in a variation in my teenage year, as well as my kids’ bedtime stories, a mention in a novel I am working on now, and another trilogy of novels I have tucked in my head. I wish someone would get this man to leave me alone.
